On May 21, 2024, an offsite meeting of the Council of Young Scientists of the Institute was held at the Museum of Contemporary Belarusian Statehood
On May 21,
2024, scientists from the Institute of Economics, with the support of the
Primary Trade Union Organization of the Institute of Economics of NAS of
Belarus, visited the Museum of Contemporary Belarusian Statehood (hereinafter
referred to as the Museum).
During the
visit, scientists familiarized themselves in detail with the comprehensive
exhibition of the Museum.
The main
exhibition is presented in thematic blocks.
Introductory
hall. Historical and cultural heritage of Belarus (models of architectural
monuments built or reconstructed during the period of the country’s independence).
Emblems of Belarusian cities. Statistics about the country.
Main
exhibition. 1st hall. State structure of Belarus. The formation of contemporary
Belarusian statehood represented in documents and video materials. Presidential
symbols. Standards of the state emblem, anthem and flag. Heroes of Belarus.
Banknotes and coins of the National Bank of Belarus. National security of the
country.
2nd hall.
Social and economic development of Belarus. Activities of the National Academy
of Sciences. Chemical and petrochemical industry. Mechanical engineering. Major
achievements in agriculture. The latest developments in medicine.
3rd hall.
Culture and sports in the republic at the present stage (awards for cultural
and artistic figures, samples of cultural and main objects, Olympic awards for
Belarusian athletes).
4th hall.
Ethno-confessional relations in Belarus. The position of the country in the
international arena represented in documents and materials. Gifts to the
President from foreign delegations.
5th hall.
Conference hall (designed to host foreign delegations, temporary exhibitions, interactive
and patriotic events).
The offsite meeting was dedicated to the Day of the State
Flag, State Emblem and National Anthem of the Republic of Belarus, which is
celebrated annually on the 2nd Sunday of May, and therefore special attention
was paid to the 1st hall of the museum’s exposition. A visit to the Museum
allowed young scientists to familiarize themselves in detail with the symbols
of our country as a sovereign state, and also firmly make sure that the State
Flag, the State Emblem and the State Anthem are symbols of historical memory
that link together the heroic past, present and future of the Belarusian state.
They are the most important attributes of the sovereignty and independence of
the Fatherland.
