On July 22–25, 2024, young scientists from the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus took part in the Forum of Finalists of the CIS Young International Relations Researchers Competition named after Andrei Gromyko

On July 22–25, 2024, young scientists from the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus Andrei SULEIKOV (Center of World Economy) and Vladislav KHOMICH (Center of State Building and Law) took part in the Forum of Finalists of the CIS Young International Relations Researchers Competition named after Andrei Gromyko (Moscow, Russian Federation). This year, the Forum events included presentations by leading experts in the field of international relations, as well as employees of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, group work on projects, as well as a visit to the Victory Museum and other events.

Also, the finalists of the competition heard an address from the Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria ZAKHAROVA. A special feature of this year’s competition final was a meeting of the finalists with the Director of the Third Department of the CIS countries Alexander STERNIK.

The organizers were the Foreign Policy Research Association named after Andrei GROMYKO, MGIMO of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of the Standing Committee of the Union State, the Eurasian Economic Commission, and the CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation.

Based on the results of the competitive evaluation, 50 finalists of the Competition were selected - young scientists under 40 years old who prepared the best articles. 560 scientific applications from young scientists and specialists from 11 CIS countries were accepted for participation. Employees of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Andrei SULEIKOV and Vladislav KHOMICH were selected on a competitive basis and awarded finalist diplomas for their scientific articles "Potential and role of electronic trading platforms ("marketplaces") in the field of producing and projecting the "soft power" of the EAEU" and "Country marketing as a tool for the integration attractiveness of the EAEU".

During the final of the competition, a team project on the topic of “Soft power and cultural-humanitarian confrontation in the new international context” prepared by participants from the Republic of Belarus Andrei SULEIKOV (project manager) and Vladislav KHOMICH, as well as representatives of other CIS countries, was highly appreciated.
