On September 13, 2024, employees of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus took part in the International Forum of Economic Cooperation in the framework of the 957th anniversary of Minsk city celebration

On September 13, 2024, Ekaterina GLADKAYA, Head of the Centre of State Building and Law of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, and Natalia KURBEKO, Researcher of the Macroeconomic and Financial Policy Department of the Institute of Economics NAS of Belarus, took part in the International Forum of Economic Cooperation organised by the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Minsk City Executive Committee. The event was timed to coincide with the 957th anniversary of Minsk.

Vladimir KUKHAREV, Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Mikhail MYATLIKOV, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vladimir PLATONOV, President of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Aibek DZHUNUSHALIEV, Mayor of Bishkek, and Aleksey ORLOV, Mayor of Ekaterinburg, addressed the forum participants with a welcoming speech.

This year’s event was attended by representatives from some 28 countries and 22 regions of the Russian Federation. Among them were heads of administrations and executive authorities, business associations, representatives of organisations of various forms of ownership.

After the grand opening of the forum, its work continued with the sections’ meetings in the following areas: “Strategic priorities of economic development”, “Investments, innovations and opportunities”, “Development prospects of industrial parks, technoparks and FEZs of Russia and Belarus, their role in building economic and technological independence”.

The forum participants were also able to familiarise themselves with the Belarusian trademarks and brands.
