On November 21-22, 2024, scientists of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus took part in the XIII International Research-to-Practice Conference “Transport Safety Problems” dedicated to the Year of Quality (Gomel)

On November 21-22, 2024, in Gomel on the site of the State Educational Institution “Belarusian State University of Transport” the XIII International Research-to-Practice Conference “Transport Safety Problems” dedicated to the Year of Quality took place.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian Railway, Russian Railways, educational and scientific institutions and organisations in the field of transport of the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the People’s Republic of China.

Yulia YAKUBUK, Head of the Sector of International Competitiveness and Regional Development of the Centre of World Economy of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, made a report on “The impact of measures to improve the quality of transport services on the level of labour productivity in transport”, presented at the section of the conference “Economic Security of Transport Systems”.

In the course of the conference the participants took part in the discussion of the prospects of transport and logistics development in Belarus and CIS countries, international transport corridors, topical issues of digitalisation and introduction of modern technologies in transport.
