On November 20, 2024, the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus held a practical seminar-training “Business Planning” in online and offline formats.

The aim of the seminar was to improve the level of knowledge in the field of business planning of managers and specialists of organisations of the Republic of Belarus.

The lecturer was Natalia DOLBIK, a specialist in the field of business planning with a long experience.

The seminar was attended by representatives of the administration of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, employees of the Centre of Innovation and Investment Policy, employees of organisations of the Republic of Belarus.

During the seminar the following issues were considered:

Fundamentals of business planning. State support of business and entrepreneurship. Drawing up an investment plan. Identification of financing sources: types and optimisation.

Practical marketing. Assessment of demand and competition in the selected target segment. Calculation of own market share. Drawing up a sales plan. Planning of income and expenses. Cash flow forecasting.

Calculation of costs. Calculation of selling price (tariff). Calculation of taxes, fees (duties).

Practical recommendations on drawing up a business plan. Analysis of business performance. Solving practical problems and drawing up a business plan.

The participants of the seminar jointly developed a business plan for an investment project for the production of natural wood furniture, including the analysis of sales markets, calculation of investment costs and performance indicators. At the final stage, financial and economic, production, price and other risks were assessed.

At the end of the seminar, all participants received state-issued training certificates.
