On November 28, 2024, employees of the Centre of State Building and Law of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus took part in the Belarusian Legal Forum “Law in the Modern World”, timed to coincide with the Lawyer’s Day
On November 28-29, 2024, on the eve of the Lawyer’s Day, the President Hotel in Minsk hosted the Belarusian Legal Forum “Law in the Modern World”, which is the largest dialogue platform that unites representatives of legal, political and historical sciences, employees of state bodies and business entities in a single scientific discussion.
The event was organised by the Public Association “Belarusian Republican Union of Lawyers”, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, the National Centre for Personal Data Protection, the National Centre of Legislation and Legal Information, the Belarusian State University and other organisations.
The main purpose of the forum is to hold an open dialogue between representatives of state bodies, civil society and business, as well as to discuss the current state of the legal system.
The Forum consisted of 7 discussion panels: “Law and Social Development”, “Modern Challenges to the Doctrine and Practice of Rulemaking”, “Synergy of Law and Technology”, “Legal Environment of Business”, “Modern Justice: Accessibility and Efficiency”, “Legal Science and Education”, “Law and Social Development”, consisting of 26 sections.
The section “Belarusian Statehood: Lessons, Achievements, Prospects”, held within the framework of the discussion panel “Law and Social Development”, was attended by the Head of the Centre of State Building and Law, Candidate of Law Sciences, Associate Professor Ekaterina GLADKAYA, Head of the Sector of Legal Support for Socio-Economic Development of the Centre of State Building and Law Antonina TRIPUZOVA, Junior Researcher of the Sector of Legal Support for Economic Security of the Centre of State Building and Law Vladislav KHOMICH.
During the section, presentations were made by following leading scholars in the field of legal, political and historical sciences:

The work of the section was accompanied by an active scientific discussion. Taisia DOVNAR’s report “The peculiarities of the Belarusian SSR creation” aroused special interest among the participants of the section.
