On February 13, 2025 at the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus a meeting with a senior operative of the Department for Combating Cybercrime of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee was held

On February 13, 2024 at the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus in connection with the widespread fraud using ICT and the emergence of new ways of committing cybercrime an informational meeting of the staff with Pavel LEMANTOVICH was organized. He is a senior operative of the Department for Combating Cybercrime of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Minsk City Executive Committee.

During the informational meeting Pavel LEMANTOVICH focused the attention of those present on such types of cybercrimes as vishing and fishing, phone calls from “affected relatives” or from “bank employees”, told about new methods of extortion. The speaker also gave recommendations to help protect personal data and funds from the criminals.

The staff of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus expressed the gratitude to Pavel LEMANTOVICH for his informative presentation, which aroused genuine interest and a lively discussion among those present.
