On the threshold of March 15 - Constitution Day, Antonina TRIPUZOVA, Head of the Sector of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, took part in a range of scientific events timed to the most important state holiday

On March 11-13, 2025, on the threshold of the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus, Antonina TRIPUZOVA, Head of the Sector of Legal Support of Socio-Economic Development of the Center of State Building and Law of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, took part in a range of landmark scientific and practical events timed to this important state holiday.

On March 11, 2025, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus hosted a round table “Constitutional Legality as the Most Important Factor in Building a Rule of Law State”.

During the event, representatives of the Constitutional Court, the CEC, the National Centre of Legislation and Legal Information, the Secretariat of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly, faculty members of the Belarusian State University, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Belarusian State Economic University, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, and scientific institutions discussed the role of constitutional justice in the protection of human rights, some aspects of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly activities, considered modern trends of constitutional modernization in the CIS countries, and other issues.

On March 12, 2025, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus hosted a round table, during which prominent scientists, representatives of the legal community of leading scientific and higher educational institutions discussed the development of constitutional doctrine in the context of the new configuration of the highest bodies of state power in Belarus.

Antonina TRIPUZOVA, Head of the Sector of the Center of State Building and Law of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, made a report “Models and trends of constitutional regulation of competitive relations in the post-Soviet area”, representing the author’s typology of such models.

On March 13, 2025 the BSU Faculty of Law hosted the Republican Research-to-Practice Conference “Development of Belarusian Legal Science in the Context of Modern Ideas of Constitutionalism”, which brought together leading experts-constitutionalists, representatives of public authorities, state organizations, advocacy, notarial system and educational institutions.

In honor of the conference opening and the past anniversary of Grigory VASILEVICH, Head of the Chair of Constitutional Law of the BSU Law Faculty, Honored Lawyer of Belarus, Doctor of Law Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of NAS of Belarus, a number of welcoming addresses were delivered, including those of Natalia KOCHANOVA, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, and Igor SERGEENKO, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.

A number of prominent state and public figures, scholars and practitioners made welcoming speeches and reports, in particular:

Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Law Sciences, Professor, Honored Lawyer of the Republic of Belarus Olga CHUPRIS;

Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus, Doctor of Law Sciences, Professor, Honored Lawyer of the Republic of Belarus Natalia KARPOVICH;

Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Legislation of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Plenipotentiary Representative of the House of Representatives to the Constitutional Court Marina LENCHEVSKAYA.

At the plenary session of the conference the participants discussed topical issues of the constitutional development of Belarus and the scientific contribution of Professor Grigory VASILEVICH to the development of legal science.

Antonina TRIPUZOVA, Head of the Sector of the Institute of Economics, took part in the event and presented a report for publication on the topic “G.A. Vasilevich - an outstanding constitutionalist scholar and statesman”.
