On March 17, 2025 students of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank visited the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus with a familiarisation tour

On March 17, 2025 students of the 1st year with the major subject “Social, Pedagogical and Psychological Education” of the Faculty of Social and Pedagogical Technologies of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after Maxim Tank accompanied by Zhanna RZAEVA, senior lecturer of the Department of Age and Pedagogical Psychology, visited the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus with a familiarisation tour. The purpose of the information campaign is to educate young people about financial literacy.

The leading specialist Anna SAS during the presentation of the Institute’s time tape gave significant historical facts, starting from the stages of organization of the Institute of Economics, including the military and post-war period, the years of restoration and development of the national economy in the Belarusian SSR, as well as during the functioning of the Institute under the Belarusian statehood.

Particular attention was paid to the flag of the Institute of Economics, which has been a symbol of the unification of researchers since the establishment of the organization, the contribution of each of the Institute’s directors to scientific activity, fundamental research, applied research and publication of scientific papers, unique exhibits of the Institute’s museum exposition.

The guests were told about the role of economic knowledge in the life of each person and society as a whole by the Scientific Secretary of the Institute Tatiana TETERINETS. Statistical data, historical examples of socio-economic development of our country proved to be interesting for visitors.

One of the key topics of the tour was building a scientific career. Tatyana TETERINETS answered the students’ questions about the stages of preparing scientific articles and how young scientists can develop their research activities.

Communication with the Director of the Institute Denis MUKHA was the final chord of the tour, which left a lot of positive emotions among visitors. He told the guests about the outstanding scientists of the Institute of Economics who made a significant contribution to the development of the country’s economy, current research and projects, and the creation of the Interdisciplinary Research Cluster “Belarusian Economic School”.

The Director’s question about the connection between psychology and economics provoked a lively dialog among the students. The participants of the tour noted that the study of psychology allows a deeper understanding of how social norms and expectations influence economic behavior.

Denis MUKHA urged students not to be afraid to set ambitious goals and strive to achieve them, because this is how a successful scientific career is built.

At the end of the meeting the guests were given an album “Belarusian Economic School” with autographs of the authors.
