On April 22, 2025 the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus hosted the Unified Information Day dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Soviet people Victory in the Great Patriotic War “The feat of the people to live through the ages”

Director of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Denis MUKHA addressed the staff of the Institute. He told about the importance of this holiday for the Belarusian people, the value of preserving the historical memory of the events of those years.

Director of the Scientific and Practical Center of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus, Candidate of Law Sciences Igor MOROZ made a report on “Criminal Wehrmacht: acts of genocide of the Belarusian people and German generals who escaped trial”.

He told about the results of investigations of crimes against civilians and genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War. Based on the solid facts and evidence collected by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus, he presented information about the main criminals who committed genocide of the Belarusian civilian population during the fascist occupation of Belarus.

The facts and episodes presented aroused not only interest, but also pain and compassion for the victims and their families. Igor MOROZ gave comprehensive answers and explanations to the questions from the audience.

At the end of the event Denis MUKHA expressed his sincere gratitude to the guest of honor for the report, emphasizing the necessity for every citizen of Belarus to keep the memory of those who won peace for us during the Great Patriotic War, as well as those Belarusian civilians who were brutally tortured and killed during the fascist occupation.
