On May 12, 2025, a seminar for students of the Belarusian State Economic University was held at the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus as part of strengthening scientific and educational cooperation

On May 12, 2025, a seminar for second-year students of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Belarusian State Economic University was held at the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus.

The event was organized as part of the implementation of the Work Plan of the branch of the Department of Economics of the Agro-Industrial Complex and Environmental Management of BSEU, operating on the basis of the Institute of Economics. The seminar was part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between science and education.

Director of the Institute, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Denis MUKHA, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He emphasized the importance of integrating academic science into the educational process and presented the Institute’s scientific publications, which were transferred to the department’s fund.

Anna SAS, curator of the Institute’s museum, conducted an informative tour, during which students learned about the key stages in the development of economic science in Belarus and the contribution of the Institute’s staff to the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Anna AKSENEVICH familiarized students with issues of professional self-determination, presenting the areas of youth policy in the system of NAS of Belarus, talking about the activities of the Council of Young Scientists, and inviting students to participate in scientific events planned for 2025.

The students were particularly interested in the scientific lectures presented by the Institute’s staff:

Anastasia BOBROVA, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Center of Demography and Human Development, gave a lecture on “State family policy as an instrument of demographic sustainability: historical evolution, theoretical approaches, modern guidelines”;

Nadezhda BATOVA, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Sector of Ecological and Economic Research, presented a report entitled “Circular Economy: essence, principles, business models, and development prospects in the Republic of Belarus until 2035”.

The seminar was scientific, educational, and career-oriented, and became a significant step in expanding cooperation between academic science and higher education.
