On May 15, 2025, the Institute hosted a round table entitled “Development of the Business Environment in the Republic of Belarus at the Current Stage of Socio-Economic Development”, organized by the Department of Monitoring of Socio-Economic Development of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus in conjunction with the Belarusian State Economic University and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus.

The Director of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Denis MUKHA, delivered a welcoming speech, highlighting the relevance of the topics discussed at the round table.

Anna POPKOVA, Head of the Department of Monitoring of Socio-Economic Development, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, opened the round table with a report on “Directions and mechanisms for the development of the business environment in the context of the digital transformation of the economy”.

Olesya PODDUBNAYA, Associate Professor of the Department of Higher Mathematics at the Belarusian State Economic University, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, presented to the participants of the round table the key provisions of the monograph “Modeling Technological Transformations of Socio-Economic Systems: Theory, Methodology, Implementation in the Republic of Belarus”.

Issues of industrial policy in the Republic of Belarus in the context of the EAEU were discussed by Alexei SVERLOV, Associate Professor of the Marketing Department at the Belarusian State Economic University, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor.

Elena RUSAK, Associate Professor at the Department of Economic Development and Management at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, gave a presentation on “The Development of Mechanisms to Support Small and Medium-Sized Innovative Enterprises in the Regions of the Republic of Belarus”.

The round table included a panel discussion on current issues in the development of the business environment, the digital transformation of the economy, regulatory and administrative barriers to business, measures to stimulate social entrepreneurship, and the implementation of ESG standards in the practice of Belarusian economic entities.
