On May 19, 2025, the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus held a Unified Information Day on the topic “A Healthy Nation as the Foundation for the Development of Belarus”.

The Director of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Denis MUKHA addressed the staff, giving a brief presentation on the topic of the event and highlighting the most important aspects of the need for every citizen of the Republic of Belarus to form and develop a healthy lifestyle.

In the report delivered by Oleg DODONOV, Leading Researcher at the Department of Monitoring of Socio-Economic Development of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, entitled “The concept of a healthy lifestyle for the population and its implementation in the Republic of Belarus,” special attention was paid to the main factors that shape a healthy lifestyle for each person, the role of the state in shaping a healthy lifestyle was defined, and the need for every citizen of the Republic of Belarus to maintain their health was emphasized, which is an essential component of building a healthy nation.

In the report entitled “Promoting a healthy lifestyle through running tourism in the Republic of Belarus,” Evgeny FEDOROV, Head of the Sector of Production and Distribution Services of the Department of Social and Consumer Services, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, revealed the essence and directions of running tourism as one of the means of promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population. The audience was introduced to the practice of developing these areas in the Republic of Belarus. Evgeny Alexandrovich shared his personal experience of running tourism and gave a detailed description of the running distances in which he participated.

The report made by Evgeny Alexandrovich Fedorov aroused particular interest among the audience. Director of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Denis MUKHA, Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences Andrei PILIUTIK, and Head of the Department of Monitoring of Socio-Economic Development Anna POPKOVA took part in an active discussion of the report. During the discussion of the report, issues were resolved regarding the organization of a collective run for employees of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, timed to coincide with one of the upcoming holidays.

At the end of the event, Denis MUKHA, Director of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, thanked the speakers and called on the employees present to take their health seriously, lead an active lifestyle, and increase their level of activity by participating in physical education, health, and sports events held both as part of the plan of NAS of Belarus and beyond it.
