On June 19, 2026, the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus held a Unified Information Day on the topic “Belarus is a Country of Opportunities. Current Youth Policy”.

The Director of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Denis MUKHA substantiated the importance of the UID topic, reflected the relevance of generational change problem in the Republic of Belarus, the priorities and value orientations of Belarusian youth at the present stage. Particular emphasis was placed on the favorable conditions for the development of Belarusian youth created by the President and the Government of the Republic of Belarus, as well as patriotic education. In the context of youth policy at the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus attention was drawn to the need for the older generation to pass on experience to young scientists.

The report by Marina LEBEDEVICH, researcher at the Center of Human Development and Demography at the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, on the topic “Youth Policy of NAS of Belarus: Opportunities for Professional Realization” highlights the conditions created for young scientists to develop their scientific potential. Emphasis is placed on incentive mechanisms that facilitate scientific activity of young researchers working at NAS of Belarus and at the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus. The speaker acquainted those present with the main areas of work, competitions and grants for young scientists at NAS of Belarus.

The topic of UID aroused interest among those present and generated lively discussion. It is obvious that the arguments presented in the report by Marina LEBEDEVICH testify to the favorable conditions created for young scientists of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus in their professional growth. At the same time, during the discussion of the report, the Director of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Denis MUKHA, Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Tatyana TETERINETS, Head of the Center of World Economy of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Tatyana VERTINSKAYA, Deputy Director for General Affairs of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences Andrei PILIUTIK, Head of the Department of Personnel and Organizational Work of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus Lyudmila MELESHKO touched upon such important issues as: factors influencing the interest of young people in engaging in scientific activities and defending theses; measures of responsibility of postgraduate and doctoral students, receiving scholarships, for high-quality performance of scientific research and defense of theses within the established deadlines.

At the end of the event, the Director of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus Denis MUKHA thanked the speaker and those who took part in the discussion of the UID topic and expressed hope that young scientists of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus will intensify their scientific activities, and the older generation of scientists will pass on their invaluable experience to the youth.
