The final of the III internal competition “Youth – to the Belarusian Economy” was held at the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus
On July 9, 2025, the final of the III internal competition of youth projects “Youth – to the Belarusian Economy” (hereinafter referred to as the Competition) was held at the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus. The competition is held with the aim of attracting young people to fundamental and applied research in the field of economics; developing project work and scientific communication skills, identifying the best initiatives for their further implementation in scientific and practical activities.
The competition was held in 3 nominations: a research project, a scientific article (new nomination), a scientific essay.
To evaluate the works, an expert commission was formed consisting of:
Denis MUKHA, Director of the Institute, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor (commission chairman);
Vitaly PILUI, Deputy Director for Research and Innovation Work, Candidate of Economic Sciences (commission member);
Tatyana TETERINETS, Scientific Secretary, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor (commission member);
Marina LEBEDEVICH, chairman of the CYS (commission secretary).
Participants presented research projects, paying special attention to the scientific novelty and practical significance of the proposed solutions. The commission members asked clarifying questions, gave recommendations for finalizing the projects and noted the high level of young scientists’ competence.
Based on the results of the public presentations and expert evaluation, the places were distributed as follows:
Nomination “Research Projects”
The 1st degree diploma was awarded to the project “Promotion of e-commerce in rural areas as one of the important elements of the Belarusian regional development concept” by authors Anna AKSENEVICH (head of the sector of the Department of Socio-Economic Development), Eghine BABOYAN (junior researcher of the Department of Socio-Economic Development).
The 2nd degree diploma was awarded to the project “Promotion of national manufacturers’ products on international digital platforms” by authors Andrei SULEIKOV (researcher of the Center of World Economy), Tatyana SAVLUK (junior researcher of the Department of Services) and Veronika POGORELSKAYA (junior researcher of the Department of Services).
Nomination “Scientific article”
The 1st degree diploma was awarded to Victoria RACHKEVICH (junior researcher of the Center of Human Development and Demography) with the article “Assessment of the Belarus labor market efficiency: regional analysis”.
The 2nd degree diploma was awarded to Darya BONDAR (junior researcher of the Center of State Building and Law) and Vladislav KHOMICH (junior researcher of the Center of State Building and Law) with the article “Some Directions for Improving the State Policy of the Republic of Belarus in the Field of Video Game Industry”.
The 3rd degree diploma was awarded to Ekaterina TAVGEN (researcher of the Center of World Economy) with the article “African Timber and Pulp and Paper Market: Opportunities for Belarus”.
Director of the Institute Denis MUKHA congratulated the winners and noted that such competitions facilitate the integration of young scientists into the academic environment and help find promising areas for economic research. The participants expressed gratitude to the organizers for the opportunity to present their work and receive recommendations from experts.
The best projects will be recommended for participation in national competitions and publication in the Bulletin of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus.
