On September 7, 2025, employees of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus took part in the sporting event “Minsk Half Marathon 2025 – Let’s Run Together”.

This year, employees of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus achieved excellent results in the event, which is rightfully considered the most popular and largest among runners, and which brought together approximately 25,000 participants from 15 countries in Minsk.

For the first time, Director’s Assistant Elena KURILYONOK participated in the Minsk Half Marathon, achieving an excellent result in the 5 km distance. Taking into account that Elena Vasilyevna only began running seriously 4 months ago, reaching the middle of the field can certainly be considered a success. And there is no doubt that the new member of the friendly team of Belarusian runners will conquer the 10 km distance as early as next year, 2026.

This year’s Minsk Half Marathon also featured professional long-distance runner Evgeny FEDOROV, Head of the Sector of Production and Distribution Services, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Associate Professor, from the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus. He completed the longest possible distance of 21.5 km in 2 hours, 5 minutes, and 11 seconds, with an average speed of 5 minutes and 57 seconds per km.

Certainly, the success of our colleagues in the Minsk Half Marathon, which was especially significant this year and dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Soviet people’s victory in the Great Patriotic War, sets a good example for both the younger generation of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus and all its employees. Hopefully more employees of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus will participate in the Minsk Half Marathon in 2026.
