On October 6, 2025, a meeting with a delegation from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Harbin Engineering University was held at the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus.

The delegation from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Harbin Engineering University was represented by SUI Hong, head of the delegation and Professor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Harbin Engineering University, and LI Wenge, Professor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Harbin Engineering University. The delegation expressed interest in establishing and developing partnerships with the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus in a wide range of areas: conducting joint research (primarily on demography, international economic relations, labor market regulation, cross-border cooperation); carrying out joint scientific events (international research-to-practice conferences, seminars and symposia); publishing joint scientific papers; exchange and internships of researchers.

The Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus was represented at the meeting by Deputy Director Andrei PILIUTIK and Leading Researcher of the Belarusian-Chinese Analytical Center for Development Oleg DODONOV. They briefed the distinguished guests on the Institute’s history, scientific potential, research areas, and the Center’s activities. The guests were introduced to the Institute’s recent publications.

The parties identified promising areas for further cooperation between the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Harbin Engineering University. At the end of the meeting, the head of the delegation, Professor SUI Hong, expressed gratitude to the Institute for its hospitality and informed the delegation of the upcoming visit of the Vice-Rector for Research of Harbin Engineering University to the Institute in the near future to conclude an international agreement on joint scientific activities.
