The staff of Institute of Economics participated in the 22nd International Scientific Conference “Youth in Science – 2025”
On September 16-18, 2025, the 22nd International Scientific Conference “Youth in Science – 2025” (hereinafter referred to as the Conference) was held at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. This is the largest scientific event for young researchers in the country, aimed at integrating knowledge, strengthening interdisciplinary ties, and developing international cooperation.
The Conference was organized by the International Association of Academies of Sciences, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Council of Young Scientists of the NAS of Belarus, the United Industry Trade Union of Workers of the NAS of Belarus, the Central Scientific Library, and the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the NAS of Belarus.
The opening ceremony of the Conference took place on September 16 in the Large Conference Hall of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus. Vladimir KARANIK, Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, addressed the participants with welcoming remarks, along with representatives of the Council of Young Scientists of the IAAS, the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education, and other distinguished guests.
The Conference was organized into 8 research areas. A total of 29 young scientists from the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus participated in the Conference, presenting their research results in 3 subsections of the Humanities section.
The largest section, “Humanities and Arts”, was supervised by Marina LEBEDEVICH, Academic Secretary of the Council of Young Scientists of the NAS of Belarus, Chairperson of the Council of Young Scientists of the Department of Humanities and Arts, Researcher at the Sector of Employment and Labor Market Policy of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus.
The staff of the Institute of Economics actively participated in the following subsections:
The subsection “Economics and Management, Social Change” was held at the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus. It was chaired by Nadezhda BATOVA, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Sector of Ecological and Economic Research at the Center of Human Development and Demography. Elena MILASHEVICH, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, served as co-chair, and Junior Researcher Nina STOMA served as secretary.
The subsection “Artificial Intelligence, Digitalization, and Digital Technologies” was chaired by Elena PRESNYAKOVA, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the Center of Innovation and Investment Policy at the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus. Hegine BABOYAN served as secretary.
Maria KURILOVICH, Candidate of Law Sciences, Head of the Sector of Environmental and Legal Research at the Center of State Bilding and Law at the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus, served as co-chair of the subsection “Political Science, International Relations, and Law”.
On September 18, the final event of the Conference – the International Forum of Young Scientists “Path to Science” – launched a series of events to improve the effectiveness of scientific activity called “Turnkey Scientist”. The forum concluded with an awards ceremony for the best speakers based on the results of the sections.
The active participation of young scientists in the Conference not only facilitates the presentation of their research results but also strengthens scientific collaboration and fosters a new generation of Belarusian scientists.
