On October 30, 2025, a delegation from the Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences visited the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus. The delegation included: ZHAO Huirong, Head of the Department of Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, and the Baltic States; WANG Chao, Senior Researcher at the Department of Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, and the Baltic States; ZU Lihao, Representative of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Belarus.

On behalf of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus, the delegation was received by: Denis MUKHA, Director of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor; Andrei PILIUTIK, Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences; Tatyana TETERINETS, Academic Secretary of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor; Oleg DODONOV, Leading Researcher at the Belarusian-Chinese Analytical Center for Development, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor.

Denis MUKHA, Director of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, thanked Chinese partners for the visit and made proposals for further developing business relations between the research schools of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus and the Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Particular emphasis was placed on the following areas of cooperation: implementing conceptual principles for national economic development while conducting scientific research, as defined by the heads of state; academic mobility and prospects for training Chinese postgraduate students at the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus; preparing joint publications and holding joint scientific events. In conclusion, Denis MUKHA and Tatyana TETERINETS briefed the Chinese delegation on the Institute’s latest scientific developments.

The delegation of the Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences thanked their hosts for the warm welcome. ZHAO Huirong noted that China and Belarus have developed a friendly partnership, reflecting the shared views of the two heads of state on many ongoing global processes, including geopolitical ones. She shared her impressions of the 3rd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security, noting the shared views of China and Belarus on maintaining peace, which the two leaders are making significant efforts to achieve on the global international agenda. Continuing the ongoing dialogue on developing partnership between the academic schools of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus and the Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, she identified the most interesting areas, including conceptual approaches to implementing the global governance strategy outlined by the Chinese leader; the development of socioeconomic relations between Eurasian countries; the development of a unified concept of Eurasian security. In conclusion, ZHAO Huirong expressed hope for further scientific cooperation between the scientific schools of the two Institutes and the development of partnerships.
