Slovak Delegation visits the Institute of Economics
The Institute of Economics of the NASB was visited by the scientific delegation from the Institute of Geography of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. In the course of the meeting the Slovak scientists got acquainted with the research approaches and directions developed by the Belarusians in the field of regional policy and regional development. Researchers of the Institute of Economics have made a presentation on the subject: "Internal migration and commuting in Belarus: conditions, trends and problems".

The roundtable discussion about the perspectives of bilateral cooperation brought the scientists to a draft agreement between the Institute of Economics of the NASB and the Institute of Geography of the Slovak Academy of Sciences on cooperation in the field of spatial economics and economic geography. A collection "Slovak geography in the early 21st century," composed of selected contemporaty research papers of the Institute of Geography of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, was handed by the Slovak side to the library of the Institute of Economics.
