On January 16, 2026, the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus held a Unified Information Day on the topic of “Key Aspects of the Address of the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko to the Belarusian People and the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus”.
Vitaly PILUI, Deputy Director for Research and Innovation at the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, opened the event, introduced the topic, and presented the speaker.
Denis MUKHA, Director of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, presented a report on “Key Aspects of the Address of the President of the Republic of Belarus to the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress”.
Denis MUKHA shared his impressions of participating in the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress, which became a landmark event for defining the country’s development agenda. He captured the unique atmosphere of this large-scale forum, noting that despite the challenges and unprecedented sanctions during recent years, a sense of unity and confidence in the future pervaded the audience.
The report places particular emphasis on the initiatives of the President of the Republic of Belarus, A.G. Lukashenko, to implement projects for the socio-economic development of country’s regions to achieve the necessary level of national security, as well as the role of Belarusian scientists. It is noted that social stability and progressive economic development during the challenging period of 2021-2025 have become a reliable foundation for Belarus to start the new five-year plan.
The speaker examined in detail the 7 key priorities of the Socio-Economic Development Program of the Republic of Belarus for 2026-2030. It is highlighted that the ultimate goal of implementing this Program is to improve the standard of living of Belarusian citizens.
The report generated genuine interest among the staff and served as an important link between the decisions of the country’s most representative forum and the team’s daily work. It allowed everyone to understand how shared national goals relate to the specific objectives of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus for the coming years.
