On February 12, 2026, the staff of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus toured the Independence Palace, which is rightfully considered the hallmark of Belarus and the center of the country’s socio-political and business life.
The Independence Palace is not just the capital’s architectural landmark, but also the center where crucial decisions are made. The Institute staff had the unique opportunity to see the halls where the country’s modern history is being written and to appreciate the mastery of the Belarusian architects and artists who created this majestic building.
For the Institute of Economics, this visit was a significant event, opening a range of events dedicated to the 95th anniversary of its founding.
The tour was personally led by Natalia EISMONT, Press Secretary of the President of the Republic of Belarus. The three-hour visit exceeded all expectations: a deep dive into the Palace’s history, a chance to see the unique interiors where crucial government decisions are made, and an opportunity to learn about the fascinating facts and features of each hall left no one indifferent.
The visit to the Independence Palace will be remembered by the staff not only as vivid photographs but also as a significant event – an encounter with the symbols of sovereignty, emphasizing the crucial role of economics in building an independent state.
