On February 19, 2026, the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus held a Unified Information Day on the topic of “Defensive Power of the Belarusian Army and Patriotism in Modern Conditions”.
Director of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Denis MUKHA opened the event, highlighted the significance of the topic, and introduced the speaker.
Aleksandr VOITEKHOVSKY, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences and Senior Researcher at the Center for Political Science at the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Belarus, delivered a presentation on “Defensive Power of the Belarusian Army and Patriotism in Modern Conditions”.
The report explores the development of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus since independence, beginning with the collapse of the USSR and continuing to the present day. It outlines the role of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus in the current context of instability and military threats from unfriendly states. Particular emphasis is placed on the need to instill patriotism in young people, foster their motivation to defend the Fatherland, and implement the military training system in the Republic of Belarus.
The speaker, a retired colonel in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, shared interesting facts from his own military service, which generated particular interest among the staff.
