On June 18, 2026, an agreement was signed between the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus and the School of Economics and Management of Harbin Institute of Technology

On June 18, 2026, a delegation from Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) was received at the NAS of Belarus.

In the presence of Vice-Rector of HIT LIU Ting and First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Vitaly ZALESSKY, an agreement was signed between the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus and the School of Economics and Management of HIT on the establishment of an Analytical Competence Center for Global Governance and Innovative Development of SCO Member States.

On behalf of the School of Economics and Management at HIT, the agreement was signed by ZHANG Xu, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Economics and Management, and on behalf of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus, by Denis MUKHA, Director.

The new center will conduct joint research in key areas such as digital economic transformation, sustainable development and the green economy, demographic security, innovative technologies, and cross-border infrastructure and logistics.

The agreement also provides for the development of legal and institutional models for multilateral cooperation aimed at improving the effectiveness of regional governance and ensuring sustainable socioeconomic growth.
