NASB Institute of Economics and China Development Institute sign agreement on scientific cooperation
On 22 August 2017, a delegation of the China Development Institute and JSCC Industrial Park Development Company visited the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The Chinese side was represented by Hu Zheng, Chief Executive Officer of JSCC Industrial Park Development Company, Wu Liangcheng, Vice President of the China Development Institute, Wang Guowen, Director of Department of Logistics and SCM Research of the China Development Institute, Feng Yueqiu, Director of International Cooperation Department of the China Development Institute, Zheng Yujie, Director of Research and Information Development Department, Wu Peng, Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of JSCC Industrial Park Development Company, and Zhang Yiju, Research Fellow of the Department for the Experience Exchange and Cooperation of the China Development Institute.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss prospects for cooperation between the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Chinese Development Institute (Shenzhen, PRC) and JSCC Industrial Park Development Company.

China Development Institute (CDI) is a think tank (Shenzhen, Guangdong Province) founded in 1989 with the approval of the State Council to promote China's reform and opening-up, and to expand international academic exchange and cooperation. The mission set by its founders is to conduct high-quality and independent research to provide innovative insight and practical recommendations for business and public policy leaders. Since it was established, CDI has been committing to the exploration of a new route for Chinese research and consultation organizations through reform and institutional innovation that fits China's actual conditions. CDI has grown to become one of the leading think tanks in China for its problem-solving research and consulting service. China Development Institute includes 19 research units and a training center. The staff potential of the Institute is over 100 full-time employees; more than 40 of them are researchers. In addition to expert and analytical support of state authorities the China Development Institute provides consulting services to Chinese and foreign business entities. In December 2015, the Institute was accredited as one of the 25 best China’s think tanks and invited to participate in a pilot project of the Central Government of the People's Republic of China in order to promote the establishment of think tanks of the new type with Chinese characteristics. The Board of Directors of the China Development Institute is headed by Mr. Xiang Huaicheng, former Minister of Finance of the People's Republic of China.
The Belarusian side was represented by Valery Belski, Director of the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Dmitry Primschitz, Deputy Director for Research and Innovation of the NASB Institute of Economics, Vadim Suhak, Acting Head of Belarusian-Chinese analytical development center, Alexader Luchenok, Head of Macroeconomic and Financial Policy Department, Violetta Ladutko, Head of the Center for State Building and Law, Sergej Golubev, Head of the Analytical Support Sector of the Belarusian-Chinese Intergovernmental Committee for Cooperation of the Belarusian-Chinese Analytical Development Center, Albina Sibirskaya, Academic Secretary of the Council of Young Scientists.
Following the talks, Valery Belski, the Director of the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and Wu Liangcheng, Vice President of the China Development Institute, signed an agreement on scientific cooperation.
