On May 27, 2020 scientists of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus visited «Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No. 407» - OJSC

On May 27, 2020 a delegation of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, consisting of the Head of the Department of Innovation Policy, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Denis Mukha, Head of the Section of Industrial Policy, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Elena Presnyakova and Head of the Section of Investment Policy Ekaterina Zaytseva visited «Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No. 407» - OJSC at the invitation of the General Director Evgenij Vaitsehovich.

As part of the visit to the Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No. 407, employees of the Institute of Economics got acquainted with the features of the enterprise, as well as the successful experience in production modernization.

In 2018 the company completely moved to the territory of Minsk National Airport. A new plant for the repair, maintenance and painting of aircraft at the current technological level was put into operation in accordance with international certification rules and standards. Currently, the plant implements a comprehensive program for the development of aircraft repair production, aimed at further cooperation with aviation enterprises of the Republic of Belarus, the CIS members and countries, involved in manufacturing of modern western aviation equipment.

Based on the results of the visit, contacts with representatives of the enterprise were established and issues of expanding bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation in the research sphere were discussed.

For reference: Today the Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No. 407 is the leading enterprise in the CIS and the countries of the former USSR in repair, modernization and maintenance of the Yak-40, Yak-42, Yak-52, Tu-134 aircraft of all modifications. The plant is able to carry out maintenance and repair of new types of Russian aviation equipment Tu-204, Tu-214, Tu-334, etc. and Western-made aircraft such as Boeing, Airbus, CRJ, etc. More than 60 years of experience in repair, modernization, improvement of technology, quality of work performed allow to confidently offer products and services throughout the world.
