On July 16, 2022, the Head of the Section of the Center of Innovation and Investment Policy Elena PRESNYAKOVA and the Head of the Section of the Center of State Building and Law Antonina TRIPUZOVA visited the Stalin Line historical and cultural complex «Stalin’s Line», where a historical festival was held.
The main part of the program is a large-scale reconstruction of the battle near Senno in July 1941, mobile defense from Borisov to Orsha ‑ a feat of Minsk policemen.
For reference: In July 1941, Soviet troops tried to counterattack the advancing Wehrmacht units in the Senno area, where one of the largest tank battles of the Great Patriotic War took place, although the forces were not equal.
In order to repel the onslaught of the enemy, the police officers also stood up, entering into a fight with the Wehrmacht army. One of the successful episodes of the policemen battle near Senno in 1941 was seen by spectators on the «Stalin’s Line».
The military reenactment turned out to be special, the audience, including employees of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, plunged into the atmosphere of the battle, feeling themselves in the epicenter of hostilities, sincerely worried and greeted the winners.
Employees of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus visited other events of the historical festival, including a performance on the release of hostages in transport, and also took pictures with participants in the reenactment of the battle near Senno.
