On July 28, 2022, the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, together with the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research and the Center for the Study of Belarus at the East China Pedagogical University in Shanghai, held an online round table

On July 28, 2022, a round table «Minsk-Shanghai» was held online on the topic «Belarusian and Chinese strategic cooperation in the context of radical international changes».

The event was organized by the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research, the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus and the Center for the Study of Belarus at the East China Pedagogical University in Shanghai.

The following experts participated in the round table and made presentations: Director of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research Oleg MAKAROV, Chief Scientific Secretary of NAS of Belarus Vasili HURSKY, Director of the Institute of Economics of NASof Belarus Denis MUKHA, Director of the Center for the Study of Belarus at the East China Pedagogical University of Shanghai Bei WENLI, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Shanghai Andrei ANDREEV, Head of the Center of World Economy Tatyana VERTINSKAYA, Deputy Head of the Belarusian-Chinese Analytical Center for Development Yury SHCHERBAKOV, Head of the Section of the Belarusian-Chinese Analytical Center for Development Alexander SIMAN, as well as employees of Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research and Regional Policy Departments of BISR, Institute of Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia of CASS, Institute for Eurasian Social Development of the Center for Development Research under the State Council of the PRC, Institute of International Studies of SASS, Center for the Study of Russia and Central Asia of SASS.

The participants of the round table discussed issues of Belarusian and Chinese cooperation, the state of the current international situation and its impact on China and Belarus, directions for further development and harmonization of Belarusian and Chinese cooperation in the light of the requirements of the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander LUKASHENKO No. 9 of December 3, 2021 «On development of bilateral relations between the Republic of Belarus and the People’s Republic of China».

The round table was attended by about 30 people (analysts, scientists, diplomats).
