Dear colleagues! On behalf of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus and myself, I sincerely congratulate you on the holiday of September 17 ‑ National Unity Day!

September 17, 1939 is the day of the restoration of historical justice for the Belarusian people, divided against their will in 1921 under the terms of the Riga Peace Treaty. The date was not chosen by chance: it is timed to coincide with the beginning of the liberation campaign of the Red Army in Western Belarus.

Our ancestors, overcoming difficulties, sought to preserve the integrity of the state and the consolidation of society.

Now, in today’s difficult geopolitical situation, our main task is to preserve the spiritual and territorial unity of the country, to ensure the economic sovereignty and economic security of our state.

United nation will never be defeated!

Adoption of National Unity Day is an important step towards preserving historical memory, continuity of generations, strengthening Belarusian statehood and sovereign development of our country.
