On the eve of Victory Day, the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, with the participation of the Director of the Scientific and Practical Center of the Prosecutor General’s Office, a representative of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus

representative of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, a round table
was held dedicated to Victory Day.
Director of
the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus Denis MUKHA addressed the
participants of the round table with a welcoming speech, handing over to the
representative of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus Svyatoslav
KULINOK the scientific publication «Economics of the Great Victory, mutual
assistance and post-war construction» (authors V. Kalinkovich, V. Sviridovich).
Svyatoslav
KULINOK, Head of the publications department of the National Archives of the
Republic of Belarus, Candidate of Historical Sciences, spoke about the
contribution of Belarusian partisans to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Igor MOROZ,
Director of the Scientific and Practical Center for Problems of Strengthening
Law and Order of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus, Candidate
of Law Sciences, devoted his report to the topical problem of criminal
prosecution of Nazi criminals and their accomplices.
Significant
issues of assessing the damage caused to the economy of Belarus by the Nazi
invaders during the Great Patriotic War were revealed in the speech by acting
Head of the Center of Innovation and Investment Policy, Candidate of Economic
Sciences, Associate Professor Elena PRESNYAKOVA.
The Head of
the section of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus Antonina TRIPUZOVA
made a report on the topic «The Great Victory: We carefully preserve the memory»
(on the example of her family and the memories of her mother, an eyewitness of
the Great Patriotic War).
Lyudmila
BURIMA, senior researcher at the Institute of Economics NAS of Belarus, told
about long-range aviation and the Great Patriotic War in the fate of her
parents, their awards.
A lively
interest and discussion were raised by questions about reparations, including
reparations from Poland to Germany, asked by the Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor
Alexander LUCHENOK.
The round table was attended by representatives of all structural divisions of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, including young scientists, as well as invited guests ‑ a representative of the Institute of History of NAS of Belarus Marina Zinchenko, Head of the Department of Legal and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Institute of Business of BSU Dmitry Gulyakevich and students of this Institute.
