On September 15, 2023, at the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus a round table was held dedicated to the Day of National Unity and the Day of Peace, with the participation of the Director of the Scientific and Practical Center of the General Prosecutor’s Office, representatives of the Institute of History of NAS of Belarus and Radoshkovichi Secondary School No. 2

The director of the Institute of Economics, Denis MUKHA, delivered a welcoming speech to the participants of the round table, and presented the Director of the museum of Radoshkovichi Secondary School No. 2, Alla YURINOK, with the scientific publication “Economics of the Great Victory, mutual assistance and post-war construction” (V. Kalinkovich, V. Sviridovich), as well as school tour guide students with memorable gifts.

Leading researcher at the Institute of History of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Valentin MAZETS spoke about the administrative-territorial and socio-political transformations in the united Belarusian lands (September 1939-June 1941).

Little-known historical facts about the participation of the Home Army in the genocide of the Belarusian people were revealed in the report by the Director of the Scientific and Practical Center of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Belarus, Candidate of Law Sciences Igor MOROZ.

The Head of the Center of Innovation and Investment Policy of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Elena PRESNYAKOVA dedicated her speech to the industry of the Belarusian SSR and Western Belarus in 1921-1940 and the significant contribution of territories reunification to ensuring its growth.

The current topic “September 17, 1939 – an act of historical justice towards the Belarusian people” was revealed by the Head of the sector, Antonina TRIPUZOVA through the example of her family.

A. TRIPUZOVA also spoke about the history and the symbol of the International Day of Peace (September 21), about “children’s diplomacy”, child peacemakers: “Doves of Peace” - Samantha Smith and Katya Lycheva.

The performance tour to the People’s Museum of Fire and Air Rams arouse keen interest. It was conducted on the occasion of Peace Day by the Director of the museum, Alla YURINOK, as well as young tour guides of grades 9 and 6 at Radoshkovichi Secondary School No. 2, Anastasia ROMANCHIK and Anastasia BRISYUK, with technical support from Rama VADHVANI (8th grade).

The round table was attended by representatives of all structural divisions of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, including young scientists.

At the end of the meeting, students were presented with sweet gifts, including from the Belarusian-Chinese Development Analytical Center.
