On September 7, 2022, representatives of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus Alla Tetyorkina and Antonina Tripuzova took part in the International Research-to-Practice Conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of antimonopoly regulation

On September 7, 2022, with the participation of the Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus Alexei BOGDANOV, International Research-to-Practice Conference dedicated to the 30th anniversary of antimonopoly regulation in the Republic of Belarus was held.

The Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus Aleksey BOGDANOV, the Minister for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the EEC Arman SHAKKALIEV, the Head of the FAS RF Maxim SHASKOLSKY, as well as the heads of the antimonopoly authorities of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan spoke at the Plenary session.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus: the Head of the Sector Alla TETYORKINA and the Head of the Sector Antonina TRIPUZOVA.

At the conference, a meeting of the Headquarters for joint investigations of violations of the antimonopoly legislation of the CIS member states was held, and 3 thematic sections worked. Representatives of the antimonopoly authorities of the CIS member states exchanged experience, discussed the problematic issues of developing competition in the digital era, all the pros and cons of introducing the mechanism of «parallel» imports, as well as the measures applied by the antimonopoly authorities in terms of price regulation.

Thus, the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus Alesya ABRAMENKO in her report emphasized the importance of finding a balance between the application of measures to develop industrial policy and antimonopoly regulation, optimization of regulation in the areas of natural monopolies, control over state participation in the economy, and also made a number of proposals for improving the antimonopoly policy in the country.
