On September 28, 2022, at the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, with the participation of reputable lawyers and economists, a round table was held on the currently important topic «Legal support of economic security in modern conditions: world and domestic experience»

The event was organized by the Center of State Building and Law of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus.

Director of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus Denis MUKHA addressed the participants of the round table with a welcoming speech.

A modern view of economic security was revealed by the Head of the Department of Analytical Economics and Econometrics of the BSU, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Ekaterina GOSPODARIK.

Deputy Head of the Main Department of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus, Candidate of Law Sciences, Associate Professor Alexander DENISEVICH devoted his report to the currently important topic of the anti-sanction legal regime.

The problematic issues of the legal support of the investment climate of the Republic of Belarus in the context of economic security were raised by the Deputy Head of the Institute of Legal Studies of the National Centre of Legislation and Legal Research (NCLLR) of the Republic of Belarus, Candidate of Law Sciences, Associate Professor Olga BAKINOVSKAYA.

Sergey LOSEV, Leading Research Fellow of the NCLLR of the Republic of Belarus, Candidate of Law Sciences, Associate Professor, devoted a report to the legal aspects of parallel imports in the context of economic sanctions.

The practice of conducting a criminological examination of normative legal acts in the context of ensuring economic security was revealed by Kirill CHUESHOV, Deputy Head of the Department of the Scientific and Practical Center for the Problems of Strengthening the Law and Order of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Belarus.

The topic of parallel financial investigations in the context of ensuring economic security was discussed by the Deputy Head of the 3rd Directorate of the DFI of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus, lieutenant colonel of the financial police Alexander GINKO.

Ivan KOSTYAN, a researcher at the Institute of Legal Studies of the NCLLR of the Republic of Belarus, raised certain problems of qualifying crimes against information security in modern economic conditions.

The issues of consistency of environmental and economic interests in the Republic of Belarus were revealed by Marina KRAVTSOVA, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Security of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Candidate of Law Sciences, Associate Professor, Police Lieutenant Colonel.

Head of the Section of the Center fof State Building and Law of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus Antonina TRIPUZOVA devoted her speech to the current topic of the constitutional and legal protection of competition as a factor in ensuring economic security, formulating proposals for amending the National Security Concept of the Republic of Belarus.

Foreign experience in improving civil law means of ensuring economic security was presented by the Head of the Section of the Center fof State Building and Law of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Law Sciences, Ekaterina GLADKAIA.

Head of the Center of State Building and Law of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, Candidate of Law Sciences, Associate Professor Natalya MINKO made a report on the topic «Constitutional prerequisites for the integration development of Belarus in the Eurasian space (in the context of ensuring economic security)».

The issues raised by the speakers were of topical theoretical and applied nature both in the field of law and economics, causing a lively discussion among the participants of the round table.

The round table was attended by Scientific Secretary Andrei GAVRILENYA, employees of various departments of the Institute of Economics, including young scientists, as well as graduates, students of the law and economic faculties of BSU.

Among the invited participants of the discussion were reputable representatives of the DFI of the SCC, the NCLLR, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Department of Economic Security of the BSU, the Institute of Information Technologies of the BSUIR, the SPC of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Belarus.
