On April
20, 2023, at the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, the Scientific
Seminar «Demographic Security in the Context of New Challenges and Risks» was
held, organized by the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus, the Institute
of Sociology of NAS of Belarus and the Vologda Scientific Center of RAS.
The Director
of the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus Denis MUKHA and the Director of
the Institute of Sociology of NAS of Belarus Nikolai MYSLIVETS made a welcoming
speech.
Further,
reports were presented in a number of key areas, such as demographic policy,
migration policy, social policy, including in the field of healthcare, etc. The
presented studies covered the regional aspect, and also largely touched on
international cooperation within the Union State.
Among the
participants were representatives of the Vologda Scientific Center of RAS, the
Belarusian Institute of Strategic Research, the Institute of Economics of NAS
of Belarus, the Institute of Sociology of NAS of Belarus, Belarusian Medical
Academy of Postgraduate Education, the RSPC of Pulmonology and Phthisiology,
the SREI of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, the SRI of
Labor of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of
Belarus, the Belarusian State University, Belarusian trade and economic
university of consumer cooperation, etc.
Seminar
moderators Anastasia BOBROVA and Mikhail ARTYUKHIN summed up the results of a
fruitful discussion, thanked the participants for interesting reports and
proposed continuing to work in this format in the future, as well as considering
the possibility of expanding the dialogue site with the prospect of its
organization at the republican level.
