On July 24–27, 2023, scientists from the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus took part in the Forum of Finalists of the Competition for Young International Affairs Officers of the CIS named after A.A. Gromyko

On July 24–27, 2023, young scientists from the Institute of Economics of NAS of Belarus Darya MARKEVICH, Andrey SULEIKOV took part in the Forum of Finalists of the Competition for Young International Affairs Officers of the CIS named after A.A. Gromyko (Moscow, Russian Federation). This year, the Forum’s agenda included presentations by leading experts in the field of international relations, group work on projects, as well as a visit to the Victory Museum and other events.

The organizers were the Association for Foreign Policy Studies named after A.A. Gromyko, Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of the Standing Committee of the Union State, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS.

According to the results of the competitive evaluation, 55 finalists of the Competition were selected ‑ young scientists under 40 who prepared the best articles. 463 scientific articles from 506 young scientists and specialists from 11 CIS countries were accepted for participation.

The winner of the contest in the main nomination (diploma for the second place) was Darya MARKEVICH, a researcher at the Center of Innovation and Investment Policy, with the work «The Union State of Belarus and Russia in the Face of Challenges and Threats Formed by the Digital Transformation of the Economy».

Also, a separate team project, prepared under the leadership of Darya MARKEVICH, on the topic «Stages in creating a single scientific and technical space of the EAEU in the field of quantum technologies» was highly appreciated by the jury and was presented as part of the final of the competition.

Andrey SULEIKOV, a researcher at the Center of World Economy, was awarded a diploma of the finalist of the Competition.
